Day 155 and 156: Bridge of the Gods

 Mile 2144 to 2154.

Oh how good we are at being lazy. Eggs and potatoes for breakfast? Yes please! Seconds? Absolutely! Sit around at the table a while and butter some bread, yeah. We eventually packed up and said goodbye to our Oregon angel Sue. She was absolutely the best.

Tracker and Jetpack dropped us off in town and we said our goodbyes. They are taking another day at the cabin and we likely won't see them on the trail again. Sad sad sad!

Hawkeye and I had to have some ice cream before crossing in to Washington, so we stopped at the ice cream shack where Cheryl Strayed ended her journey. No worries, I took pictures.

[Dinner at Sue's; the greatest birthday gift of all time (the shades, not the bike); New shoes! old ones have about 750 miles on them; Ice cream with Cheryl and Reese]

The bridge was exhilarating. First off, there was no pedestrian walk, we just walked with traffic. Second, the bridge is simply metal grating, so you can see straight down. And third, this felt like the biggest milestone of the trip. Washington, y'all!
